The first Curriculum your child will encounter on starting school is the Early Years Foundation Stage. At Aldwyn Primary School, it is our intent for our Early Years Curriculum to lay a secure foundation for future learning. We will ensure every child in our care is provided with the best opportunities where they are able to develop a love for learning so that they can reach their full potential and achieve.
Through our values the curriculum in Early Years provides a broad and balanced education that meets the needs of all pupils. We provide support for children’s personal, social and emotional development so that they feel safe and secure and are ready to learn. They will achieve this by being in a stimulating, rich and safe environment where their well-being and mental health is supported. Our EYFS curriculum celebrates diversity and supports the pupils’ social, moral, spiritual and cultural development. Our children with additional needs, including SEND, are supported appropriately allowing them to be successful and thrive equally throughout the Early years.
