Mr Loy’s Class Page
A hearty welcome to the class page for Mr Loy's reception class. Here you can keep up-to-date with all the happenings in going on in reception.
Week Beginning: Monday 28th September
This week the children have been getting to grips with all sorts of different activities based on the story of “What the Ladybird Heard” by Julia Donaldson.
The children have designed their own farm scenes just like in the story. They selected, cut out and stuck down some of the features they liked and then drew on other parts of the farm that they wanted.
The children also decorated their own fine prize cows. Using the Manchester cows for inspiration, they added lots of different designs and patterns to really make them stand out. Next week they’ll be using them for a very exciting task!

This week the class has also begun having PE lessons in the hall and it was the first time the children have had to get changed into their PE kits. All the teachers were very impressed by how many children could get changed all on their own!
During the first P.E lesson the children practised their balancing skills on the benches, enjoyed leaping onto the big soft mats and perfected different types of rolls .
